Could you include the changes which correct the "Fast CPU - Wrong
Timing" bug (#1760 in Bugzilla) when doing the build mentioned above?
Sorry if I annoy you ...
Otherwise, maybe I will be able to build the complete VLC myself with
the new gcc package. It is a good sign that ffmpeg now builds
correctly.
