It is, but the results are not yet written back to disk, it's only
working for the current session.

Shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Opening folders and everything take ages as long as debug output is
enabled :)
Should be quite fast else.

Which may be correct, since sometimes Tracker locks a device, and every
application that queries the device makes it impossible to unmount it
(e.g. SoundPlay with BIYS).

That's also not working with BFS. The mount-point is completely
unconnected to the volume name, it's just that Tracker tries to create
a directory with the volume name when you mount it there.
It will never change as long it is mounted (and you don't rename it).
