That's consistent with that I observe and benchmarks I made before.
The thing is, Tracemonkey is part of (the still unreleased) Firefox
3.1, and even then you have to enable it on about:config. And IE7'sJS
engine is a joke by all measurements.

Try the nightlies of both Firefox and WebKit and you'll see what I mean.

I'd agree, except for the fact that said old Javascript implementation
actually has legs nowadays. And wheels. And a tank of NOx.

But Squirrelfish Extreme has a flux capacitor. :) And word goes that
it's much easier to hack into the WebKit code base than it is to find
one's way around Mozilla's.
