It depends on your tax code and whether or not your country recognizes
US non-profit status. Someone earlier mentioned that this would not be
tax-deductible in Australia (IIRC). You'd be better to ask an
accountant or lawyer who knows your country's tax code. I know in the
US, you will receive a document from the non-profit you donated to
indicating the amount donated and identifying information about the
organization. This may be enough information to qualify as a
deductible where you are, but the only way to be sure is to ask someone
who handles tax paperwork on a regular basis.
