I suppose that's true for those who build Haiku themselves. But this does not seem to apply for the people that use the nightly builds. A lot of people play with the nightly builds and when they realize that what they downloaded is a barebone OS with not apps, they ask around where they can get apps to make the OS more usable, and they are always told to download the OPs from Haiku Files anyway.
