In the interest of staying on topic we should really take this off
this list, or just let it all simmer until complete JDK is opened.
I expect that'll be around march, but who knows... until then, the
only thing we can do is talk ourselves in circles and distract each
other from the rest of the things we'd like to do.

Unless newer versions of the tree rely on language features / API's
from the previous release in order to build. This is highly likely,
and I won't be able to tell until I have a chance to look at the 1.6
tree.
The sad fact is, that chances are good we'll need a baseline
'working' 1.5 before we get 1.6 going. Granted, we won't need all the
class libraries, just enough to get javac, javah, etc. going.
I still don't really understand; I mean even if this is the case, we
would need to update our C implementation of javah anyway, won't we?
It's probably in Sun's own interest to solve this chicken-and-egg
problem, anyway.
Bye,
Axel.
