Err, isn't it supposed to mean "Haiku"?

Those kanji (??), together mean the 17-syllable poem usually in 3 lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables called "haiku".

The first kanji (?) means amusement or actor and is read "hai". The left part is the radical for person (it is the representation of a man), and the right part are not-spread wings.

The second one (?) means phrase, clause, sentences, passage, paragraph, and is the counter for haiku (think of it as the "_th" when ordinal numbers are called), it's read "ku" or in some personal names is read "suku". The litlle square in the middle symbolizes a mouth, and here it stands for word. The envolving part generally means cover, wrap or encircle. The original idea represented is interwining or wrapping around.

?? does not even look like ?????????????, which according to my basic Japanese means what Ryan Knapper suggested.

Be well.
