Now that you mention it. I have the same problem with my new notebook, as 
that is using another new incarnation of the ipro1000 chip.

I have checked with the current intel source and adding support for that new 
chip requires a considerate amount of changes. I'd like to add the new intel 
sources into a vendor branch and then merge the new code in little pieces 
into the trunk in order to preserve your changes.
Do you know precisely which intel version you started with? When I tried to 
find out a couple of weeks ago, I came to the conclusion that it probably was 
1.7.41, but it would be greate if you can remember.

BTW: The driver in our repository is the one intended for FreeBSD-4.x, but 
now intel has drivers for FreeBSD-5 and newer, too. Do you think it would be 
worth looking into the newer drivers or should I stick with the 4.x-branch 
(which would be less work, I suppose)?
