    Unfortunately, it's currently not possible. But it would be a very

Perhaps open a low-priority enhancement ticket on trac for this, that way it won't be forgotten and perhaps someone will see it and add it, sounds like a good cli-option to have.
Maybe I miss something here, but why would this be a cool feature? Wouldn't it be smarter to just provide an HVIF translator, if it doesn't exist yet?
It exists now. Seems Michael Lotz went by the slogan "Talk less, code more!" :-)
