[haiku] Re: Haiku's localization vocabulary guidelines

Destilling from what I've read in this thread so far, it seems to me that 
Haiku's localization is in quite good shape. It would allow for the system 
Jonas is proposing, while at the same time it encourages a more practical 
approach that not only means less work and hassle, but, perhaps more 
importantly, encourages the use of reoccuring phrases for the (almost) same 
thing. There may be the occasional situation, where an English term is used 
for two or more slightly different meanings that can or must be translated 
better with different terms in another language, but I can see how the 
system would quickly adopt by the feedback of translators when this affects 
an often used term. Labels in computer interfaces are by definition 
something strongly reduced, they need to be short and to the point. 
Simplifications do help users, in any language. I am saying a system is 
never perfect (what if I use a trackball or pen input, but keep reading 
"Mouse" or "Maus" everywhere), but simplifications also have their good 
side.
