qemu and the Lombard are both PPC 750 (G3) machines, the G4 is... well a
G4.  Maybe gcc is throwing some G4 optimizations in the bootloader causing
it not to load on < G4 systems?  I'm just blurting this out here, i need to
double check the Jamfiles for ppc to verify if this is whats going on.

Has anyone recently been successful in booting the PPC bootloader of Haiku
on anything less then a G4?
