I can vouch that it is definitely Futura, because some years ago I asked
stubear, the guy who made the logo, what font it was and that was the
answer I received. AFAIK the logo was done in Illustrator, so, like
stippi said, it has probably received some tweaking from there.
I did a visual comparison, and here it is how it turned out:

Please note that the Limerick font is a bitmap, so it may be not very
accurate. However IMHO, from an overall balance, thickness and shape
POV, Limerick looks the closest that I have seen so far to the font used
in the Haiku logo.
