Actually it might be wise to ask the FSF beforehand for advice, maybe 
http://gpl-violations.org/ also.
Hmm I'm sure there is a website dedicated to supporting OSS projects 
with law advices, can't recall the url.
Maybe sites like http://www.advogato.org/
