I fully agree with Koki about avoiding the "Linuxification" of Haiku.

Still, if we are going to have distro guidelines, but make them
difficult to follow, will that discorage people from making distros,
or just cause them to ignore the guidelines??? I am not sure, I guess
time will tell.

Also if we don't really want distros made and distributed at this
stage of the project, we should probably say that. Of course I'm not
really sure if Karl's image qualifies as a distro, but that is my
PERSONAL OPINION and does not express the opinion of Haiku, Inc., the
Haiku project or its affiliated developers. Since it actually would
make it easier for new developers to jump in and develop on Haiku, I
think it should be supported more. But only as long as it is clearly
expressed that is in an alpha, could crash, is really only for
developers, etc. Which I suppose is where those distro guidelines come
in.
