Thanks for all the useful info.... That really helps; I'll pass it along. I'd
include your post in my reply, except the email program messed it all up for
some odd reason.
As for my question about the willingness to accept changes if deemed
necessary... I don't want there to be any kind of misunderstanding. I
understand R1's goals of binary compatability. I have also heard that after
that (R2 and beyond) was supposedly open to changes, even it meant breaking
backwards compatibility. So, I thought, maybe a group working on audio apps
might be a good candidate to asses weaknesses of the current API, Haiku's
performance in the area of audio, etc... well, just a thought anyways... It
kinda goes back to the working groups concept I sent a few people a long time
ago, but that's another topic.
Oh, and I'll try to post more info soon -- but not on this mailing list like
you suggested. :)
