Koki, I know you don't like free/copycenter stuff,
Not necessarily. I choose what I think is best for the purpose on a case
by case basis. In this particular case, copyleft served my purpose
better (for the reasons that I already gave).
You know... I was worried about having posted that yesterday. That wasn't
really a nice way of me to put it. I'm glad it didn't seem to upset you to
much. I hope you accept my apology.
It did not upset me at all, but thanks for the apology anyway. :)
I am not Haiku, so that question is not for me to answer. Personally, I
do believe that an ecosystem that nurtures synergistic relationships
through collaboration between the project, developers and businesses
would be a very positive thing for Haiku to pursue. However, I am not in
a position to do anything about it. You may want to ask the admins or
Haiku Inc. :)
I guess we'll see... :) I think promotional material is a great thing to have.
However, for me, right now, I'm mostly focusing on core apps for Haiku.... but
we'll see what happens later. :)
If anyone developing a Haiku application wants to produce some sort of
promotional material, I would willing to volunteer my skill and time
provided that the code is open source. If the application is closed
source/commercial, then the rules of the games are different (for me, at
least).
Cheers,
Koki
