In a somewhat analogous way, the distro guidelines are not meant to be
easy for everyone, particularly for non-developers. On the contrary, we
want to raise the bar so that only the people with the required skills
and serious about producing something of quality can pursue the creation
of Haiku distros. We can't stop people from creating distros, but at
least we can try to induce certain level of quality.
IOW, if you can't figure out how to change an about window, then
creating a distro is not for you. :)
