[haiku] Haiku Alpha R1 +6 months


The Haiku Alpha R1 was released 6 months ago last week. I raise my glass to 
celebrate. The release was mostly stable, 
created really good press coverage, and pulled in a bunch of new users. Since 
then there have been many bugs discovered 
and fixed, and a bunch of new apps ported. This is excellent progress following 
8 years of steady development. 


Here are some questions about next steps:
When are we ready to start Alpha R2?
What goes into R2?
When is R2 ready to release?
