Hi Haiku,
My name is Jeffrey Qiu and I am currently an undergraduate student at UCLA
studying Computer Science in Los Angeles, California. When online, I
typically go by JeffreyQ. I started becoming interested in low level
software development after having completed a course in Computer
Architecture. I am also going to take a course in Operating Systems that I
will complete prior to the start of summer. I have a few years of C/C++
under my belt and hope to be considered for GSoC with Haiku this coming
summer.
I am particularly interested in the project labeled "x86-64: Support for 32
bit userland" under the "Kernel" section on the ideas page. I've already
reached out to PulkoMandy to get started with this project and was pointed
in the direction of ticket #8520 detailed at the following link:

I've started reading through the source code around
src/system/runtime_loader and I am currently setting up the development
environment and building it from source.
