At least until R1, the x86_64 target hasn't been a strong goal for
Haiku.
If your willing to put time in to add support for it, you are more then
welcome to submit patches on the bug tracker though :)
this maybe potential to be a new ticket in dev.haiku-os.org [1] :D

We *do* support compiling x86 targets on x86_64 systems however.
