IMO if you can help with R1/alpha that would be the preferred, of course. And that's x86 only for now. The PPC port (as an ARM port) are definitely nice to have, but not mission critical. If you want to put effort into this, great, but if you're just looking for any place to work on, looking at something else wouldn't hurt either :-)
