God, that's such a stupid discussion. Many open source projects have similar guidelines. Look at Firefox and Thunderbird for example. Only official release builds contain trademarked branding. Nightly builds do not contain it. Jorge, just remove/change two graphics: Boot screen and About window. Eg call it FalterOS with a sub-headline "A Haiku-based release not endorsed by Haiku Inc due its pre-alpha quality" use a butterfly as logo ("Falter" is not only an English verb, but also German for butterfly). IMHO these two look nice and are freely licensed: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Blue_morpho_butterfly.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Bolboreta95.jpg If you need additional help, I'm sure the Haiku devs will support you. Maybe they add a compiler switch to enable community branding similar to Firefox/Thunderbird. Bye, Markus
