The thing that gave me the most trouble with those new systems was always the 
IDE controller.  SATA is a problem, but sometimes you can configure it for 
"compatibility" mode. I tested with one system (ASUS P5B if remember correctly, 
Core 2 Duo E6400)... Haiku ran fine, both cores detected, while in IDE 
compatibility mode and on a PATA disk. BeOS R5 didn't boot, but ZETA did. 
However ZETA gave me huge problems with the hdd access (stalling all the time), 
which went away when I switched to a real SATA drive. But Haiku would then not 
boot anymore. Don't know if this was taken care of by Marcus' SATA driver yet.
