I'd add:

- Better POSIX compatibility
- More supported filesystems (I think: ext2/3, reiserfs, udf)
- Adjustable antialiasing (greyscale or LCD subpixel)
- Subtly modernized GUI (gradients, pop-up menus, button and border 
style etc.)
- Better keyboard navigation
