I don't think it can do anything else but decimal, and I would consider 
this its weakest point - but one we could solve one day, if needed.

Well, while we definitely have to write documentation for all apps 
provided with Haiku, a calculator should "just work". IOW you should 
just enter the stuff you want, and it should provide you with the 
result. If the usual doesn't work out, it's obviously flawed :-)
Maybe a function pull down menu in the expanded mode would help, too.
