Longtime lurker here, just want to throw in my two cents...The best calculator I've ever used is Microsoft's Powertoy Calculator (NB: not the default Windows calculator--that one is useless.)Its default mode has a large area that shows a history of what you've entered, beneath which is a text box, beneath which is a numeric keypad. It can be changed to a mode with no keypad shown (which has a brief explanation of how to enter equations), or to a graphing mode. It can also do hex, decimal and binary, as well as a bunch of other useful stuff.I really think that the Haiku calculator should be modelled on this one. If you've got Windows XP installed, please download it and give it a try. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspxWell, back to lurking I go.John> To: openbeos@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [openbeos] Re: Calculator still needed?> From: revol@xxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 8 Oct 2006 20:19:29 +0200> > > Compacted vs expanded: I think that we should have a small ">>" and> > "<<" toggle-button at the right border, for example (or two buttons> > "expand" and "compact").> > There is a zoom window button for that :)> > François.> _________________________________________________________________ Be one of the first to try Windows Live Mail. http://ideas.live.com/programpage.aspx?versionId=5d21c51a-b161-4314-9b0e-4911fb2b2e6d
