Dosbox is hardly dead, having been updated on March 31
of this year. (less than 2 months ago) And aside from
some little bugs it does indeed work as advertised.

Don't use DOSBOX, it's dead and doesn't work. Instead
use BeBochs with FreeDOS if you need backward
compatibilituy.
