Yes, this definitely is a line breaks issue. That is one problem with
checking out the sources under Windows. The other is that the Windows file
system is not case sensitive, while the files in our CVS are. This will
cause problems in a few places as well.
You really shouldn't check out the sources from Windows, unless your tool
can check them out in Unix/Linux mode. (If it can, please let us know how
you did it, so we can put it in a FAQ.) Alternatively, you can check out the
sources from Linux or BSD, or download one of the source tarballs:
