Hi Karl,

Don't mind Charlie, he means well but can come across blunt at times.
I just try to get my message across. I'll look into netiquette some
other time, I don't really have time for that. I will take your
suggestions in stride and try to execute what you said to the best of
my understanding. I usually use an email client, however my hard drive
failed and am left with Gmail for the time being.
What Charlie is talking about is just what I'm doing now, and I've
seen you do it when corresponding with me privately so I know you can
:)
It makes it easier for others to understand the conversation when they
are new to the thread, or if they are reading it in archives.
"Top posting" is the habit perpetuated by various email clients
(*cough*thanks Microsoft*cough*) of putting the response to an email
above what is being responded to. This can be confusing, as per the
joke:
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail?
FYI I'm posting this for everyone's benefit and am not just targeting Karl :)
I've sent this as plain text. Hope that is what you meant. I don't see
any general option to disable this, so will have to do it manually
each time I send a message I suppose.
Hmmm, I don't see an option in Gmail for this either, but mine always
sends as plain text. I think Gmail defaults to responding in HTML to
any HTML emails, but in general it tries to use plain text.
Now lets get back to the topic at hand, the bounties :-D
Regards,
Ryan
