Long time lurker and PowerPC fan here :)

I totally agree with you on this one. Almost everything about the PS3
is documented, they are easily available and there are lots of users.

It would be a *massive* advert for Haiku to have it booting on the
PS3.  The story of Haiku booting on a PS3 would hit Slashdot, OSNews,
Kotaku and a host of other sites.  I don't know if that will get Haiku
any more programmers, but it would definitely get lots of people
reading about Haiku who wouldn't know about it otherwise.

Right now the only issue that I can think of is 3D.  As mentioned in
another post the GPU is locked down by the hypervisor.

I am not skilled enough to do the port, but if some reading the list
is (François?) but can't afford to buy a PS3 I will help out with
cash.
