Creating too many moving targets will make things difficult all around. The *nice* thing about BeOS right now is that is NOT a moving target. BTW, you might want to read "The Invisible Computer" and understand the cycle of the early adopter through tech laggard. If you want to do things right, embrace and extend. Support the existing binary format for plenty of time until "newer" apps arrive to take their place.
