Hi,

As I'm sure you guys are aware, I was never a big fan of us
hosting our own copy of WebKit. Though it has certainly served a good
purpose to allow the port to move where it is and for us to have a
decent browser, we really need to "rejoin" the WebKit community. Of
course that isn't always easy, and I'm not talking about just updating
our code with the latest WebKit but really the political stuff of
getting patches reviewed and all that. I suppose I'll be tackling that
now after doing a few more fairly easy Web+ fixes.

And sometime before or during that the Web+ code should be moved into
Haiku's repo and WebKit set up as a build dependency (maybe optionally
at first.)

It would be great if someone could move the WebPositive code into the Haiku repository. I think Niels posted a little script to one of the tickets for how to import it with history. I never got around to look into it. Perhaps there is even an easier or more automated way, built into svn... And also since I worked on Web+, we have even more examples for optional build dependencies in the Haiku repo. Someone up for it?

Best regards,
