Regarding documentation for checking out the source code, could we replace :
svn checkout http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/haiku/haiku/trunk haiku
svn checkout http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/haiku/buildtools/trunk
buildtools
with
svn checkout http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/haiku/haiku/trunk haiku/core
svn checkout http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/haiku/buildtools/trunk
haiku/buildtools ?
I realize this is a trivial and non-functional change, but it would
help with a few things.
-it groups both sources into one directory
-it'll allow us to suggest directory structure when using non-standard
object directories,
eg, haiku/x86-gcc2, haiku/x86-gcc4, haiku/ppc, haiku/arm,
haiku/m68k, haiku/mips
by the way, here is my update "Getting the sources" page :
http://www.haiku-os.org/node/2506
(i've still been slowly plodding away at organizing the documentation)
I'd even like to suggest changing the actual svn path information at
berlios to reflect repos/haiku/core/trunk too :)
