You mean dependencies between bugs? So that a developer can easily get all related bugs when he is working on a specific one.
If, for example, one component gets input from another one, but crashes all the time this would be bug #1. If that other component now sends incorrect data, that would be bug #2.
The developer would first fix bug #1 because crashing is not an option, and then he would continue and fix bug #2.
Since those are two different components, it would be hard to track their dependencies in another way, or easily get them via searching.

Why would adding a comment not work? Often this needs further explanation, anyway.

Didn't see that field.

It's above "Bug Status Change". To me, this is another prove of its bad interface. You did not even *notice* it because it's over-bloated and the human brain just switches off when it sees too much information (and I notice this myself, very often, too).
