Upgrading the existing website to the latest version of Drupal would be a major undertake. I highly doubt that you will be able to do an automated upgrade, as at least one of the (major) modules used in the website has not been upgraded to Drupal 5.x.
You will also have to finish porting the Haiku theme. I started doing the port and an unfinished version is being used in www.norcal-hug.org, but it still has many problems that may not be easily fixed.
What exactly do you want or expect to gain from a major upgrade that would justify the effort?
