Waldemar tried using svk, which is a tool that decentralizes revision
control (in the spirit of arch, git and mercurial). I believe that
would have caused the revision screwups. What he didn't know is that
berlios offers rsync access to the repository source. So what I have
is an actual copy of the source of haiku's subversion repository. As
such, version numbering is the same (I just checked just to be sure
:-))
It should be possible to rsync regularly (every hour or so), which
would make dev.haiku-os.org almost up to date. It would provide a
relatively easy interface to the source repository, including history,
source browsing (at all revisions), and changes showing up in the
timeline. So basically it would integrate CIA, the svn mailing list
and viewsvn on berlios.de. It would create an easy way to stay up to
date to all things Haiku code using RSS.
