The last time I checked this list was supposed to be for the Website *Team*.
If you are only interested in doing development on your own, I concur with 
Jorge (which is rare :P) and you should not be mailing to this public list 
which is meant for *Team* members.  Personally I don’t see what the problem was 
considering only Jorge and Serpentor asked to additionally participate (i.e. 4 
people meeting, not 12! 25!! Or whatever exaggerated number!!!).

Basically there were some *team* members that were at least interested in 
learning what was going on.  If they were there just for "testing" as you say, 
I might understand your argument.  Their efforts were more to actively 
understand and perhaps assist what was being done, then pick apart flaws.
