Always feel free to ask :) We try to be nice most of the time.

The events calendar is definitely a good start. As would be taking care of
website inquiries which I've already volunteered to do (and Niels?, i think,
volunteered to help) but depending on how that goes we might need more than
that once the alpha is release.

I believe Humdinger was working on some docs for the alpha release over at
Haikuware.com on the Wiki but I'm not exactly sure where he's at or what
he's got planned. I would suggest talking with him and see what he needs
help with and coordinate your efforts.
+1 from me on the Alpha Center concept thought. It might be a good way to
get all the important stuff in one place for the influx of inexperienced
people we will get once the alpha articles start popping up all over the
web.

I don't think you are stepping on anyone's toes. We always need fresh faces
to help out.
Cheers!
