Hi,
I've volunteered to help out with keeping http://www.haiku-os.org up
to date and I've got some questions about how to proceed.
What needs to be done? Updating the current events and calendar is a
given but what's wanted apart from that? As I'm not entirely
sure what the focus should be right now I'd like to bounce some ideas
off you people. I'm thinking that some alpha documentation
might come in handy with guides for installations, setting up dev
environments, what needs testing and things like that. A lot of this
is
already on the site but pretty scattered with additional bits hidden
in comments etc. I'm proposing setting up an alpha center with
some basic documentation, guides how to fill out a great bug and some
checklists. Making it easy to file bugs should be a priority
for an alpha so any ideas on how to simplify that are welcome. I can
do the gathering and write some guides but I'll need to know
how to proceed and what the focus should be on.
Hopefully I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here but these are things
to consider, especially since we're nearing an alpha release.
Cheers
David
