The D4 way of handling images is very subpar, and among other things,
it has the disadvantage that it (unnecessarily) creates an image node
for every image that you insert into a post.
I highly recommend adopting the IMCE module instead:
http://drupal.org/project/imce
This combined with the BUEditor module (http://drupal.org/project/bueditor)
is what I am using for the user guide doc site, and it works very well.
You can try it out by editing any of the nodes in http://guide.haikuzone.net:
just go to the EDIT screen, click on the Insert/Edit Image icon above
the text box, then click on the BROWSE button to bring up the IMCE
interface; the rest is self-explanatory.

Jorge
