Howdy,

Well, I suppose there is a few reasons, none of which are show

I couldn't post.
By default, blogging is enabled only for the following user roles. :)
Devs: those individuals who have obtained SVN write access to the Haiku
repository.
Bloggers: additionally, we may also give blogging rights to individuals
who have a proven track record of contributions to the project and may
want to blog about their Haiku-related activities or may want to use the
blog as a mean to communicate to the community their Haiku-related activity.
It is this way because we want to make sure that the blogs remain highly
focused on topics related to Haiku and the project.
2nd — Editing on blogger is comfier (nice UI design :-)
Since improving the design and usability of our website better seems to
be one of the purposes of your exercise, actually using the tool that
you want to enhance could be a good place to start. :)
3rd — I wasn't sure how appropriate it would be to essentially pick
apart haiku-os.org on haiku-os.org and I was hesitant to ask.
Please, *never* be hesitant to ask. It's like telling yourself no. :)
What do you think (especially about #3)
Criticism is OK as long as it is constructive and it is accompanied with
solutions. So let me put it this way:
If your blogging is meant to be a purely theoretical dissertation, and
does not provide a practical solution and (at least part of) the means
to achieve a solution, then perhaps Blogger is a better place.
If blogging is part of a bigger exercise to provide practical and viable
solutions in the areas of design and usability for our website, then I
think the Haiku Blog-O-Sphere would be a good tool for you to convey
your ideas, show the progress of your project, and obtain feedback. In
that case, I would personally feel positive about proposing that you get
blogging rights.
Cheers,
Koki
