Hi guys,
For quite some time now I have been doing quite a bit of
administration of our ISP accounts, including but not limited to
managing email accounts, initiating and solving support tickets
related to problems with the website and Trac, and other
miscellaneous tasks.
I have also been active on this list, mainly in an attempt to try
to influence the evolution of the website infrastructure that is
of particular interest to me (as a tool for marketing).
>From now on I want to focus exclusively on the marketing of
Haiku, so I am putting an end to my involvement in this two areas
ends as of today. Focus shift, so to speak. :)
So there are a couple of things that someone else will have to
pick up from me.
1) ISP account administration & support point of contact
Gavin is the support point of contact, but he is very busy and
perhaps even hard to reach right now (due to new job and
relocation). So we need someone to perform these tasks, at least
until Gavin can make a come back.
2) Website migration to ICS server
Somebody to work with ICS to migrate the Haiku website to their
server, in coordination with whoever is the Trac maintainer.
So, to all those web-capable Haiku fans who have been waiting for
an opportunity to contribute to Haiku, here is your chance to show
your commitment to the cause. :)
Let me know if you have any question(s), on or off the list (as
you please).
Cheers,
Koki

What is exactly ISP Account ?
ISP = Internet Service Provider. We have several accounts with a couple
of companies that host our websites (haiku-os.org, haiku-files.org,
Trac, etc.).
Where do you think i can help pon positions you are leaving here ? All
the server-side work (Trac, Subversion, ...) is definitly not
somewhere i can help !
I suppose Niels, Gavin and/or Axel can tell you in what you can help.
Cheers,
Koki
