I don't know what you mean about "limited into Zope space". I don't see any
performance problems and maintenance with Zope isn't much of an issue even if
some of the code base is now 10 years old.
I meant that it could be difficult to switch to some other solution or
to integrate other (non-python) web software since Zope runs its own
server. In practice, this is probably not a big problem.
We need a system that matches as much of your feature set as possible, is
reliable and maintainable and we need people who are both prepared and able
to develop and maintain it. I don't see any alternatives.
Who of us would be prepared?
I could spend time on it. And once it's all adapted we probably won't
need to work on it very much. Could you please document all changes that
would have to maintained?
Probably, you two will not have much time after this work is done...
