I *really* think there should be a way to write documents offline,
paste it in the edit box and have the pre-processor make a fancy
document of it.
I guess we'll see that when we get there, again.
I don't have anything against offering it as a second input method to
replace raw HTML, but it's not the highest priority.
Let's first concentrate on Trac (our devs need time to adapt, anyway). I
hope that RailFrog will do a much better job than Plone. Also, it looks
like we will get some influence on RailFrog's usability.
My issues with Plone are:
* performance (dynamic skins are difficult to cache)
* slightly overloaded interface (esp. when logged in)
* low-level administration through Zope (complex, ugly)
* skin maintenance (Charlie, is there no good method?)
Michael, do you have a particular dead-line? I'd like to have the new
website for our alpha or beta releases, but if RailFrog will be easier
to use than Plone I could also wait for R1.
Bye,
Waldemar
