pues no entiendo por que no te funciona el ~
Creo que puede ser por que sobreescribes la variables HOME

es decir... HOME ya esta definida

haz en linea de comandos
> echo $HOME

y mira que te sale

y si no pues $HOME/Videos pues tambien deberia....
