Hello everybody (Humdinger), I've finally finished my installation docs :)
Hurray! Well, that's for the relief. Anyway, here included is a zipped file of
my documents. I've included the edits to the css I talked about earlier. I also
use a small script, which loads pages in a new window/tab since xhtml strict
doesn't allow rel="_blank". This could be used by anybody who needs to link to
external websites (just add rel="external" to your <a href...> statements).
Please post all your comments and ideas here. The current state is somewhat
rough, but all in all I think it will add great value to the guide. The
contents page has also been updated. All pages have been validated for xhtml
strict 1.0, so that should be good.
So, on another note, when will we see the UserGuide on the Haiku website :D
This has become fairly important, since some of the writers from which I used
help guides could edit the UserGuide directly, and remove their old documents
from the site. More visibility and more editing the guide... great!
P.S. I'm still waiting for one authorization, that is from MauriceK
(http://maurice.kaldience.com), to use his "Building Haiku from source on
Windows" document. The problem is his guide isn't on the Haiku page, so he
might not be a fervent Haiku enthusiast. He hasn't replied to my e-mail, I will
write back in a week or so, just to confirm he has received my mail.
Cheers,
Socapex_2K
