Hi all,
Karl vom Dorff dropped me a line saying he accepted[1] the bounty that
was proposed by Salvatore Benedetto for offering between $50 and $100
dollars per document.
Suggestions on the bounty[2] include:
"Now, since most of dev are already busy coding, the best way (IMHO)
is to provide a little incentive (e.g. bounties) to start writing
small howto about UI, sockets, FS API, Replicants and much more."
If you are a lurker here on this list, and you would like to start
somewhere, this is a nice little incentive for you. Remember, it is as
much a learning experience for you audience as it is for you, so in
that respect it is an invaluable shot.
Since the bounty itself is organized by Haikuware, I would say that
the best way to proceed is to write an abstract of what you want to
elaborate on, and post that on the bounty page [2]. If enough people
are interested in the project, the funds should arrive at some point.
Anyway, I think it is a great idea to stimulate this somewhat less
glamorous area of Haiku development.
Thanks Karl and Salvatore!
Niels
