I have published the document, so it is now visible.
Question for you: when you edit the page, do you see a "Publishing options" section at the bottom of the edit page? If so, expand it, and check the "Published" box before you submit the document. This will make it visible.
If the "Publishing options" don't show up in the edit page, there may be something wrong with your access rights. I guess Waldemar could look into that for you.
