It is great that you have these meetings, and that they are open. Way to go!
If you are interested in attracting more volunteers to the team, how about posting an announcement on the Haiku mailing list and the website, inviting interested people to participate even if only as observers. You can always tell those who attend as observers to join and follow up on this list in case they want to pursue becoming more involved.
