I've started putting together some notes on some of major improvements
since r33109 http://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/R1/ImprovementsSinceAlpha1
Hopefully, it'll be useful once we start preparing for the next
release.
Here's some Alpha1 Missing features that have been fixed:

* WiFi support is still in the works. IIRC, in the next month, the
various drivers will be added to the default image.
* PackageFS is implemented, but needs a UnionFS, test packages, &
thorough testing.
* DriveSetup now installs a basic bootloader when partitioning a disk.
